Vladimir Putin spoke at the UN climate change conference

Vladimir Putin spoke at the UN Climate conference in Paris, which was attended by leaders of more than 150 heads of state and government. The main objective of the summit;— the adoption of a new climate agreement after 2020 to replace the outdated and largely ineffective Kyoto Protocol.

Vladimir Putin, Russian President: "Russia will continue to contribute to joint efforts to prevent global warming. By 2030, we plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 70% of the base level of 1990 year. We will achieve this through breakthrough solutions in the field of energy conservation, including through new nanotechnologies.
