Deputy Sudanese oil, GTL and Sudapet conclude an agreement on gas

The Russian company GTL and the Sudanese Sudapet close to the conclusion of the agreement on cooperation in the processing of associated gas in Sudan, said Deputy Minister of oil industry of Sudan Mohammed Zayed Awad in an interview with Sputnik.

According to him, the final agreement will be signed during the scheduled June visit of the Vice President of the African country Hasabu Mohamed Abdulrahman in Moscow. In the near future an agreement will be signed between the Russian company and the Sudanese Sudapet GTL on cooperation in the processing of associated gas produced at the field Him in the province of South Kordofan,” said the Deputy Minister. He noted that in making the decision, the Sudanese side has preferred Russian to European technology.

JSC “GTL” leads venture projects, highlight the projects in the stand-alone program in the form of joint ventures with strategic investors.

The company participated in the creation of the reactor for the homogeneous oxidation of natural and associated gas, the development of a method of oxidation of natural and associated petroleum gas, carried out research and development work to determine the parameters of thermal activation of molecules of methane, ethane, propane, butane in the reactor of direct synthesis of liquid hydrocarbons and alcohols.
