Russia will create an industrial zone in the Suez canal

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia considers the possibility of investment of the participation of Russian companies and banks to the Egyptian economy, including the development of the Suez canal` zones.

Reminding that Russia and Egypt launch a project to create a Russian industrial zone near the Suez canal. It is one of the agreements signed in 2015 in Cairo after two-day visit of Vladimir Putin. Moscow is also ready not only to build a nuclear power plant, but also to train staff and to develop science. As it was noted by the head of the Russian state, we are actually talking about the creation of the atomic industry in Egypt. In matters of regional and international politics, Moscow and Cairo confirmed their commitment to further interaction.

GTL company received an official letter from the Ministry of Economic Development with an invitation to participate in late 2016 – early 2017 in a business mission to review specified economic zone and of the presentation to the Egyptian side from the Russian companies to participate in development projects.
